The quality policy of Batalas Ltd is to provide training and consultancy services that fully satisfy customer expectations. This policy supports the overall business aim of the company to continue to be regarded by existing customers and the market as a customer focussed leading supplier of training and consultancy services.

To realise the above policy, the management has set quality objectives that address each policy element and includes continual improvement. Each objective is periodically reviewed for suitability, as is the entire policy itself.

It is of paramount importance that this policy statement is understood by all members of the organisation, particularly as to how it applies to individuals. To this end, this statement is made available to all staff, and each staff member is invited to seek clarification, if required, as to its meaning.

The company’s management are committed to the policy and this is demonstrated by leadership through example, communication to staff of the importance of meeting specified requirements, ensuring the availability of resources and, periodic management review of the system, including the suitability of its policy and objectives.

Batalas Ltd is committed to the preservation of the environment and in preventing pollution.

We are committed to:

• Encouraging the incorporation of environmental factors into all business decisions
• Compliance with relevant environmental legislation and regulations
• Procurement of ‘environmentally friendly’ goods and services throughout the company
• Reducing the waste we produce. Where appropriate, we will recycle waste products. Waste that cannot be eliminated will be disposed of in a responsible manner
• Environmental responsibilities being specified, where required, and contractors working on site, will be required to act responsibly and in a manner compatible with our standards
• Training which will be given to ensure compliance with this policy and to encourage the development of a proactive approach to environmental conservation
• Listening carefully and responding to the views of staff, customers, neighbours and interested parties

The company and its employees recognise that everyone has a part to play in the environment and therefore all employees are required to fulfil their legal duty in supporting the company and in taking care of the environment in their actions.

This policy will be reviewed bi-annually.

Batalas Ltd aims to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of our employees while they are at work and of others who may be affected by our undertakings. This general policy statement provides a commitment and intent to comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

To ensure the principles of health and safety are clearly understood throughout the Company, we will be committed to:

• complying with relevant health and safety laws and regulations, voluntary programmes, collective agreements on health and safety and other requirements to which the Company subscribes;
• setting and monitoring of health and safety objectives for the Company;
• effective communication of and consultation on health and safety matters throughout the Company;
• assessing the risks to the safety and health of our employees and others who may be affected by our activities and implementing controls to minimise those risks;
• preventing work-related injuries, ill health, disease and incidents;
• providing and maintaining safe plant and equipment and implementing safe systems of work;
• the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances;
• providing and maintaining a safe working environment with safe access, egress and welfare facilities;
• providing the necessary training to our employees and others, including temporary employees to ensure their competence with respect to health and safety;
• providing suitable and sufficient information, instruction and supervision for employees;
• continually improving the performance of our health and safety management;
• devoting the necessary resources in the form of finance, equipment, personnel and time to ensure the health and safety of our employees and seeking expert help where the necessary skills are not available within the Company;
• an annual review and when necessary the revision of this health and safety policy;
• making this policy available to relevant interested external parties, as appropriate.
